Planning flooring and paint
Buy flooring for the room area plus 5–10% for cutting and waste. For paint, measure wall area instead of floor area: multiply the room's perimeter by the wall height and subtract doors and windows. One liter of paint typically covers 10–12 m² (about 110–130 sq ft) per coat.
