Rotate PDF pages and save them
Scanned documents often come out sideways, and a single landscape page in a portrait report ends up rotated the wrong way. Most PDF readers can rotate the view, but the change disappears when you close the file or send it to someone else. This tool rotates PDF pages permanently: turn the whole document or just the pages that need it, preview the result as thumbnails, and download a corrected PDF.
Features
- Rotate all pages left or right in one click.
- Rotate individual pages by 90°, 180° or 270°.
- Live thumbnails that show each page's final orientation.
- Lossless: text, images and links are untouched, and text stays searchable.
- Private: the PDF is processed locally in your browser.
Common situations
Scanned documents. Scanners and phone scanning apps sometimes save pages sideways or upside down, especially when a stack of mixed-orientation pages is fed through.
Landscape tables and charts. A wide table in a portrait document may be rotated so it can be read on screen without tilting your head — or the other way round for printing.
Combined documents. After merging PDFs from different sources, some pages may have a different orientation from the rest.
How PDF rotation works
Every PDF page has a rotation attribute (0°, 90°, 180° or 270°) that tells viewers how to display it. This tool updates that attribute for each page, which is why the process is instant and lossless — the page content itself never changes.
Need to remove or reorder pages as well? Use Organize PDF to rotate, reorder and delete pages in one go, or Delete PDF Pages to remove unwanted pages. To combine several PDFs, try Merge PDF.
