Number the pages of any PDF
Page numbers make long documents easier to read, print, discuss and reference. Reports, theses, manuals, contracts, scanned books and merged PDFs often arrive without them, and adding them in the original application isn't always possible. This tool adds page numbers to an existing PDF in a few clicks: pick a corner, a format and a starting number, and download the numbered file. Everything happens in your browser, so confidential documents stay on your device.

Tips
- Merge first, then number. If you're combining several files, use Merge PDF first so the numbering runs continuously through the whole document.
- Reorder before numbering. Put pages in the right order with Organize PDF — numbers are printed on the page and won't move if pages are rearranged later.
- Check the margin if your document has a footer or header; increase it so the number doesn't overlap existing text.
- Add a watermark too: mark drafts or confidential copies with Watermark PDF.
