Split PDF files your way
Sometimes you need just one chapter of a long report, each page of a scanned batch as its own file, or a document divided into parts small enough to email. This PDF splitter handles all of these. Split by a fixed number of pages, define your own ranges, or extract selected pages into a new file — then download the results individually or together as a ZIP. It runs in your browser, so the PDF is never uploaded.
Three ways to split
Every N pages. Splits the document into equal parts. Use 1 to burst a PDF into single pages, 2 for double-sided forms, or any other number.
Custom ranges. Type ranges like 1-4, 5-12, 13- and each range becomes its own PDF. Perfect for separating chapters, invoices or individual documents in a combined scan.
Extract pages. List the pages you want — 2, 5, 9-11 — and get a single PDF containing only those pages, in that order.
Common uses
- Separating scanned documents: a stack of contracts or receipts scanned in one go can be split back into individual files.
- Sending only what's needed: share the relevant pages of a long document instead of the whole thing.
- Email and upload limits: break a large PDF into smaller parts that fit attachment limits.
- Printing: extract only the pages you need to print.
Splitting is lossless
The tool copies the original page objects into new documents without re-rendering them, so text, fonts, vector graphics and images stay exactly as they were. Each file only contains the resources its pages need.
Want to remove a few pages rather than split? Use Delete PDF Pages. To combine files again later, use Merge PDF, and to turn pages into images, use PDF to JPG.
