How to use Merge PDF

  1. 1Choose two or more PDF files, or drop them onto the page. You can add more files at any time.
  2. 2Put the files in the right order with the ↑ and ↓ buttons.
  3. 3Optionally type page ranges for a file (for example 1-3, 7) to include only those pages.
  4. 4Click Merge PDF and the combined document downloads as merged.pdf.

Combine PDF files in seconds

Invoices from different suppliers, scanned pages from several sessions, chapters of a report, application documents that must be submitted as a single file — merging PDFs is one of the most common document tasks. This PDF merger combines any number of PDFs into one, in the order you choose, and can include just the pages you need from each. It all runs locally in your browser, so your documents stay private and there's nothing to install.

Features

  • Unlimited files, added all at once or in several goes.
  • Reorder files with simple up/down buttons.
  • Page ranges per file to include only selected pages.
  • Lossless merging that keeps text, images, links and page sizes intact.
  • No watermark, no account, no upload.

Common uses

Job and university applications often require a CV, cover letter, certificates and references as one PDF. Merge them in the requested order.

Accounting and expenses: combine receipts and invoices for a month or a project into a single file for your accountant.

Scanned documents: phone scanning apps sometimes save each page or batch as a separate PDF. Merge them back into one document.

Reports and portfolios: assemble a cover page, chapters and appendices produced in different programs.

Tips for a tidy merged PDF

  1. Check orientation first. If some pages are sideways, fix them with Rotate PDF — or merge first and then fix everything at once in Organize PDF.
  2. Remove unwanted pages using page ranges here, or afterwards with Delete PDF Pages.
  3. Mind the file size. Merging large scans can create a big file; reduce it with Compress PDF.
  4. Have images instead of PDFs? Turn them into a PDF first with JPG to PDF.

To do the opposite and divide a document into several files, use Split PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a limit on the number or size of files?
No fixed limits. Merging happens on your own device, so the practical limit is your browser's memory — dozens of files and hundreds of pages are normally no problem on a computer.
Will the merged PDF lose quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are — text stays selectable and searchable, and images keep their original resolution. Nothing is re-compressed.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The PDFs are read and combined in your browser using JavaScript. They never leave your computer, which makes this safe for contracts, invoices and personal documents.
Can I merge only some pages of a file?
Yes. Type the pages to include in the box next to that file, using commas and hyphens: 1, 3-5, 10-. Leave it empty to include all pages.
What about password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted files can't be merged until the password protection is removed. Open them in a PDF application with the password and save an unprotected copy first.
Are bookmarks and form fields kept?
The pages, including links and annotations on them, are copied. Document-level features such as bookmarks (outlines) and interactive form logic from the individual files are not combined.
