Frequently asked questions

How do I make a ringtone?
Choose your song, trim it to the best 20–30 seconds and download it. iPhones need the M4R format — rename an M4A file to .m4r and add it with Finder or iTunes. Android phones accept MP3 directly.
Will trimming reduce the audio quality?
The audio is cut and saved in the same format. For MP3, M4A and OGG this means re-encoding the trimmed part at high quality, which is practically indistinguishable from the original. WAV stays lossless, and FLAC files are saved as lossless WAV.
Which formats are supported?
You can open MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC, OGG/Opus, FLAC and the audio of WebM files. The result is saved in the same format, except FLAC (saved as WAV) and formats that can't be written (saved as MP3).
Is my audio uploaded?
No. The file is processed in your browser with WebCodecs and never leaves your device.
Can I cut out a section in the middle?
This tool keeps one continuous section. To remove a middle part, trim the two halves separately and join them in an audio editor.
