Turn PDF pages into PNG images
Sometimes you need a page of a PDF as a picture: to put a chart into a slide deck, to post a page on a website, to attach a diagram to a support ticket or to feed a scanned page into an OCR app. This PDF to PNG converter renders every page you choose as a lossless PNG image at the resolution you pick. Preview the pages, save the ones you want, or download the whole set as a ZIP. The PDF is opened and rendered inside your browser, so it never leaves your device.
Features
- Lossless PNG output that keeps text edges, thin lines and flat colors perfectly crisp.
- Three resolutions — 72, 150 and 300 DPI — for previews, screens and print.
- Page selection with ranges such as
1-3, 8, 10-12. - Instant previews of each converted page.
- ZIP download for multi-page documents, or click a single image to save it.
- JPG option in the same tool when you need smaller files.
- Private and free: no upload, no sign-up and no watermark.
PNG or JPG: which format fits your PDF?
| Page content | Best format | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Text, tables, code | PNG | Sharp letters with no compression halos |
| Charts, diagrams, line art | PNG | Flat colors and thin lines stay clean |
| Screenshots inside a PDF | PNG | Pixel-exact copies of the original |
| Photos, brochures, scans | JPG | Much smaller files with little visible loss |
If you mainly want small files for email or chat, the PDF to JPG converter starts with JPG selected.
How big will the images be?
The pixel size depends on the page size and the resolution. An A4 page is 595 × 842 pixels at 72 DPI, 1240 × 1754 at 150 DPI and 2480 × 3508 at 300 DPI. A US Letter page is 612 × 792, 1275 × 1650 and 2550 × 3300 pixels respectively. Because PNG is lossless, file size grows with the number of pixels and the amount of detail on the page: a mostly white page of text compresses well, while a page full of photos produces a large file.
Common uses
Slides and documents: paste a chart or table from a report into PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides without blurry edges.
Websites and documentation: publish a page from a manual or a datasheet as an image that loads in any browser.
OCR and data extraction: text recognition works best on sharp, high-resolution images; 300 DPI PNG is the usual recommendation.
Design and annotation: open a page in an image editor to highlight, crop or combine it with other graphics.
Tips
- Convert only the pages you need — it is faster and keeps the ZIP small.
- For a single page, click its preview to save it directly.
- To shrink the resulting images further, run them through Compress Image or convert them with PNG to JPG.
- To go the other way and turn images into a document, use JPG to PDF. To keep some pages as a smaller PDF, use Split PDF.
