Record your screen without installing anything

Show a colleague how to do something, report a bug, record a presentation, capture a video call (with everyone's consent), make a tutorial or save a clip of a game — screen recordings explain things faster than words. This recorder uses your browser's built-in screen capture, so there's nothing to install, no account, no watermark and no time limit.

Features

  • Entire screen, a single window or a browser tab.
  • System or tab audio (in Chrome and Edge) and microphone narration, mixed together.
  • No watermark and no time limit.
  • Instant preview after recording.
  • Save as MP4 for maximum compatibility.
  • Private: recordings never leave your device.

Frequently asked questions

Is my recording uploaded?
No. Your screen is recorded by your browser and the video stays in memory on your device until you download it. Nothing is sent to a server.
Why is there no system sound?
Sharing system or tab audio is supported by Chrome and Edge. On Windows you can share audio from the whole screen; on macOS only browser tabs can share audio. Firefox and Safari can't capture system sound. Make sure to tick "Share audio" in the browser's sharing dialog.
Can I record on my phone?
Mobile browsers don't allow websites to record the screen. Use your phone's built-in screen recorder instead — on iPhone it's in Control Center, on most Android phones in Quick Settings.
What format is the recording?
Chrome, Edge and Firefox record WebM; Safari records MP4. Click Save as MP4 to convert a WebM recording into an MP4 that plays everywhere.
Is there a time limit or watermark?
No. Long recordings use more memory (roughly 30 MB per minute at the default quality), so for very long sessions make sure your device has enough free memory.
